Independent Foreign Fiction Prize 2009

{mosimage}Il quotidiano inglese The Independent da ben due decenni assegna il premio Independent Foreign Fiction Prize per promuovere gli scrittori e le opere che diventano conosciuti grazie a i loro traduttori ovvero alle loro traduzioni in inglese. Fra i titoli pubblicati in Gran Bretagna, nell'anno passato, viene scelto il migliore e il premio in denaro viene assegnato sia all'autore che al traduttore. Quest'anno i vincitori sono lo scrittore colombiano Evelio Rosero e la traduttrice Anne McLein per il romanzo The Armies (Los Ejércitos, 2006 / Eserciti, 2007) che tratta della guerra civile in Colombia.
